Therapy Session Terms

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Who provides your sessions

These terms cover individual therapy sessions with Nicholas Harris, online or in person. All therapy sessions under these terms are provided by and booked with Chiang Mai Wellness Centre Limited Partnership, your contracting service provider.

Nicholas Harris, BSc (Hons), PDc Hyp, holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Artificial Intelligence and a Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. He is a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH).

Registered address: Malada Home & Resort, 1/149, Nong Kwai, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai 50230, Thailand.

Tax identification number: 0503557006609.

References to "we", "us" and "our" mean Chiang Mai Wellness Centre Limited Partnership. Your booking information, confirmation and invoice will identify this partnership as the therapy provider. Schedulista is our scheduling provider, not the provider of therapy.

For questions about therapy, bookings, payments or complaints, contact Nicholas Harris directly at [email protected]. For legal notices, compliance matters and privacy or data-protection enquiries, contact [email protected]. Neither address is an emergency service.

Self-guided digital products sold by Practical Healing UK Ltd. are covered by our separate Course & Digital Product Terms. Practical Healing UK Ltd. is not the contracting provider for therapy sessions under this agreement.

2. Your booking agreement

Therapy sessions with Chiang Mai Wellness Centre Limited Partnership can be scheduled through our online booking calendar. Please check the appointment date, time and time zone before confirming your booking. Questions about scheduling can be sent directly to Nicholas Harris at [email protected].

Session length: Sessions last up to 90 minutes. We do not offer a separate shorter-session booking option.

Before you book, we will provide the session format, location or online platform, appointment time and time zone, duration, fee, currency, any applicable taxes, payment deadline and cancellation arrangements. We will also identify the therapist and accurately describe the relevant qualifications and professional status.

Your booking is confirmed automatically when Schedulista sends your booking confirmation email, and your contract is formed at that point. Separate personal approval by Nicholas is not required. The eligibility, suitability and informed-consent requirements in these terms still apply to the therapeutic work. We will provide the applicable terms and booking details in a form you can retain. Tell us promptly if any details are incorrect.

Specific arrangements agreed with you in writing form part of the agreement. They cannot remove mandatory legal rights.

Eligibility: Sessions are normally offered to people aged 20 and over. Younger clients over the age of 13 and under 20 may be considered exceptionally, at a parent or legal guardian's request, subject to individual suitability, appropriate parental or guardian involvement and the young person's own voluntary agreement.

For younger clients, the parent's or guardian's request and permission are discussed verbally. During the initial session, Nicholas speaks directly with the young person to explain the proposed work and confirm that they understand it and wish to proceed of their own choice. A parent's request does not oblige the young person to participate. They may decline, pause or stop. Any additional consent or authorisation required by applicable law must be in place before proceeding; age alone does not establish legal capacity. Confidentiality and its safeguarding limits are explained before the therapeutic work begins.

Therapy services and product purchases are separate

Therapy sessions: These terms apply to individual therapy provided by Chiang Mai Wellness Centre Limited Partnership, whether the appointment takes place in person or online. An online therapy appointment is a personal service, not a purchase of a self-guided digital product. Payment arrangements are in section 6; session cancellation arrangements are in section 7.

Digital products: Self-guided courses, PDF guides, recordings and digital bundles sold by Practical Healing UK Ltd. are separate purchases governed by the website's Course & Digital Product Terms and Refund Policy. Their 30-day product money-back guarantee does not apply to therapy sessions. Therapy sessions do not include a discretionary money-back guarantee. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Physical products: Tangible goods are also separate from therapy services. These session terms do not govern a purchase of physical goods. For any such separate purchase, the seller and applicable sale, delivery, cancellation and return terms must be identified before purchase. A therapy booking does not itself include a physical product unless expressly stated in the booking information.

The website's Disclaimer provides general information and safety guidance where relevant. It does not replace individual assessment or informed consent for therapy, turn a therapy session into a self-guided product, or override our professional duties or your legal rights. Linking to a product policy does not incorporate its product-only restrictions or refund rules into your therapy agreement.

3. The scope of therapy

At the outset, we will discuss your concerns, what you hope to achieve, the proposed approach and whether the service is appropriate. We will work within our competence and review the work with you as it progresses. Where your needs fall outside the service we can safely provide, we will explain this and discuss suitable next steps.

Therapy is an individual process. We do not guarantee a cure, a particular outcome or a fixed number of sessions to achieve a result. This does not reduce our obligation to provide the agreed service with reasonable care and skill.

Sessions do not replace medical care that you need. Do not stop or alter prescribed treatment on the basis of a session without consulting the professional responsible for that treatment.

Purchasing sessions does not include unlimited contact, emergency support or additional services unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

4. Informed consent and your choices

Before using an approach, we will explain its purpose, relevant risks and limitations, and reasonable alternatives so you can make an informed choice. You may ask questions, decline an exercise, request a different approach, pause or stop. Consent to therapy is an ongoing process, not a one-off waiver obtained by accepting these terms.

Exploring difficult experiences can bring up distressing feelings. Distress does not, by itself, show that an exercise is beneficial or that you should continue. Please tell us if the pace or approach feels unsuitable so we can respond appropriately.

Hypnosis or another particular technique will be used only where appropriate and agreed with you. Images, impressions or memories arising during an exercise are not, by themselves, independent verification that an event occurred.

Withdrawing consent to an intervention does not carry a penalty. Payment for services already provided and any applicable cancellation arrangements remain subject to these terms and your legal rights.

5. Health information and pre-existing conditions

Please share information reasonably relevant to safe and appropriate therapy, including relevant diagnosed conditions, current treatment or medication, significant changes in your health, and any concerns about the proposed work. We will explain why information is requested and arrange an appropriate way to provide it privately.

You do not need to disclose unrelated personal history simply to satisfy a blanket requirement. If you are unsure whether something is relevant, discuss it with the therapist. If essential information is unavailable, we may need to postpone or adapt the work rather than proceed without an adequate assessment.

A pre-existing condition does not automatically make therapy unsuitable. Depending on your circumstances, we may recommend an assessment, coordination with another professional, a different approach or referral. Any sharing with another practitioner will have an appropriate lawful basis and be discussed with you, except where a justified legal or safeguarding exception applies.

We do not undertake to cure every pre-existing condition. However, a diagnosis, prior difficulty or your agreement to participate does not waive your rights or excuse negligent assessment, inappropriate treatment or avoidable worsening of your condition. Responsibility for any alleged harm depends on the circumstances and applicable law, not simply on whether a condition existed beforehand.

6. Fees and payment

Sessions are offered individually, not as prepaid packages. Current session prices are shown in our Schedulista booking calendar. The fee, currency and payment deadline shown before booking apply to that appointment. We will not change the price of a confirmed session without your agreement. Any change to fees for future sessions will be explained before you book them.

Session payments are not taken in advance. The post-session payment arrangements are set out below; cancellation and missed-appointment charges are addressed separately in section 7.

In-person sessions: Payment is due at the end of the session. You may pay by bank transfer to the Thai bank account we specify, QR code, cash or Wise.

Online sessions: We will provide a credit-card payment link processed through Stripe after the session ends. Payment is due within seven calendar days after the session. If you do not receive the link or have a payment question, contact Nicholas Harris at [email protected].

Booking a session does not create a subscription or authorise recurring payments.

7. Cancellations, rescheduling and missed appointments

You may cancel a therapy session without charge by giving at least 24 hours' notice before its scheduled start time. Except for cancellations due to illness, cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are charged at the full rate agreed for that session, subject to the adjustments and legal rights below. Any applicable cancellation fee, including a late-cancellation fee, is due within 72 hours of the time of cancellation, not the scheduled appointment time. The notice period is measured in elapsed hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Rescheduling: The same notice periods, charges and illness exception apply when you reschedule. Rescheduling with at least 24 hours' notice is free of charge. Rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice carries the full agreed fee for the original appointment, subject to the adjustments and legal rights below. Any applicable late-rescheduling fee is due within 72 hours of the time you reschedule.

Missed appointments: If you do not attend a booked session and have not cancelled it, the full agreed session fee applies, subject to the illness exception, fair-charge adjustments and legal rights below. Payment of a missed-appointment charge is due within 72 hours of the missed appointment's scheduled start time.

Illness: No cancellation, rescheduling or missed-appointment charge applies where illness prevents you from attending, including when less than 24 hours' notice is given. Please let Nicholas know as soon as reasonably possible using the scheduling or contact details below.

Other emergencies or personal circumstances: The normal cancellation, rescheduling and missed-appointment rules apply. Where a charge otherwise properly applies, Nicholas may, at his sole discretion, reduce or waive it as a goodwill exception after considering your individual circumstances. Such an additional exception is not guaranteed. This discretion does not affect the illness exemption, the fair-charge adjustments below or any rights you have under applicable law.

How to cancel or reschedule: Our preferred method is Schedulista, our scheduling system. Open the appointment-management link in your booking confirmation email and follow the cancellation or rescheduling options. You can find the confirmation by searching your email for Schedulista or [email protected]. The email provides access to the scheduling system; do not reply to the no-reply address. You may also cancel or arrange rescheduling by direct message to Nicholas; you do not have to repeat the request through Schedulista. A replacement appointment is subject to availability and confirmation. This alternative is available if you find the technology difficult, as well as when the system cannot be used. For assistance, contact [email protected]. These arrangements do not promise an immediate response to messages or restrict any statutory cancellation right described below.

The cancellation, rescheduling and missed-appointment rules will be clearly disclosed before booking. Any charge must be fair and proportionate to the loss caused. We will take reasonable steps to reduce that loss and reduce the charge to reflect costs saved or payment received when the appointment is filled by another client. We will not recover the same loss twice. Mandatory cancellation rights take priority over an ordinary booking charge.

Unpaid charges and future sessions: If a cancellation, late-rescheduling or missed-appointment charge remains unpaid after its payment deadline, we may decline further bookings or postpone or cancel future appointments. A single overdue charge may trigger this measure. Before doing so, we will notify you by email of the charge and the proposed effect on future sessions, and give you a reasonable opportunity to pay or raise a genuine payment query. You are welcome to contact Nicholas to discuss resuming sessions. Resumption is considered case by case and requires mutual agreement, subject to Nicholas's availability and acceptance; payment of an outstanding charge does not automatically reinstate appointments. Any decision remains subject to our professional and safeguarding duties and the continuity arrangements in section 11. We will not charge you a cancellation or missed-appointment fee for an appointment that we cancel under this provision.

Client lateness: If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full agreed session fee remains payable, subject to your rights under applicable law. This rule applies to client lateness, not a delay caused by us.

If we cancel, you will not be charged for the session we do not provide. We can discuss an alternative appointment without requiring you to accept it. Any other remedy to which you are entitled under applicable law remains available.

Not achieving a hoped-for therapeutic outcome does not, on its own, establish that the service was defective. This does not prevent a complaint or limit remedies for a service that was not provided as agreed or with reasonable care and skill.

Statutory cancellation rights

Where the law gives you a right to cancel a booking, we will explain that right, the applicable deadline and how to exercise it before you book. You may contact [email protected] to give a clear cancellation notice.

If separate consent or information is required before services can begin during a statutory cancellation period, we will obtain or provide it. Accepting these general terms does not, by itself, waive a statutory cancellation right.

8. Online sessions and safe participation

We accept clients worldwide, including online clients, subject to appointment availability and compatible time zones. Sessions remain subject to individual suitability and applicable legal and professional requirements in the locations concerned.

Online sessions are usually conducted through Zoom and may also take place through WhatsApp, as arranged with you. We confirm your current location to establish the correct time zone for your appointment. Please let us know if your location changes before the session.

For an online session, use a private, safe setting and a suitable connection. Do not participate while driving, operating machinery or doing something requiring attention elsewhere. Tell us about accessibility needs or practical barriers so we can discuss reasonable arrangements.

If a technical problem interrupts an online session, we will first make reasonable attempts to reconnect.

An interruption on Nicholas's side: If we cannot restore the connection sufficiently to continue, Nicholas will discuss the situation with you personally and arrange rescheduling at the earliest mutually available time. This is not treated as your missed appointment. We will discuss any time already provided and the corresponding payment arrangements individually, without charging twice for the same time or charging you a missed-appointment fee for a problem on our side.

An interruption on your side: If a technical problem on your side prevents you from attending or continuing and cannot be resolved sufficiently to proceed, the missed-appointment rules in section 7 apply. This includes the illness exemption where applicable, discretionary consideration of personal circumstances, fair-charge adjustments and your legal rights. A brief interruption that is resolved is not, by itself, a missed appointment. We will not charge both an attended-session fee and a full missed-appointment fee for the same appointment.

If the cause or impact of an interruption is unclear, we will discuss it with you before deciding which arrangement applies. These arrangements do not limit any remedy required by applicable law.

9. Confidentiality and personal information

We treat information shared in therapy as confidential. Before work begins, we will explain the boundaries of confidentiality, including any relevant arrangements for supervision and necessary record keeping.

Confidentiality is not absolute. Disclosure may be necessary where required by law or where a lawful and proportionate safeguarding response is justified, such as a serious risk of harm. We will limit disclosure to what is necessary and, where safe and lawful, discuss it with you first.

For younger clients, safeguarding may involve appropriate local emergency or child-protection services and, where safe and appropriate, a parent, legal guardian or the school's designated safeguarding contact. We will not automatically notify a parent or another person if doing so could increase the risk of harm. Seeking family or school involvement must not delay necessary emergency action or a report required by law. This does not mean routine session details are shared with parents or schools.

Information used for your sessions: The therapy-specific privacy information is contained in these terms. In arranging and providing your sessions, we use the information you supply for appointment administration, communication, assessing suitability, providing therapy, managing payments and responding to concerns. This may include your name and contact details, location for appointment time zones, booking and payment information, messages, and relevant personal or health information you share during the work. We ask only for information reasonably relevant to these purposes. If information essential to safe and appropriate therapy is unavailable, we will discuss the effect with you, as explained in section 5.

Session records: Records of in-person sessions are kept on paper in Nicholas's locked clinic. Records of online sessions are held electronically in files on his password-protected computer and are synchronised and backed up to a Dropbox business account, which we use for cloud storage. The Dropbox account is protected by two-factor authentication. Within the practice, Nicholas alone has routine access to these session records, subject to the lawful disclosure and safeguarding exceptions explained above. One purpose of keeping relevant session records is to support continuity of care if you return to therapy after a gap, including after several years. This allows Nicholas to review the earlier work with you; it does not oblige you to continue or return to therapy, or remove your right to request deletion.

Services used to provide and administer sessions: We use Schedulista for bookings; Zoom and WhatsApp for online sessions and relevant communication; Stripe for credit-card payments; Zoho for email hosting; and Dropbox for electronic records, backup and delivery of client-requested recordings. These services handle information in connection with their respective functions. Naming them does not mean that every provider receives your session notes or recordings. The statement that Nicholas alone has routine access within the practice is distinct from the role of these service providers.

How long session records are kept: We retain session records only while there is a justified care-related or legal need. We periodically review whether continued retention is necessary, considering the time since our last contact, the relevance of the information to continuity of care if you return, and any applicable legal retention requirements or need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. A possible future return does not, by itself, mean every record is kept forever. When no justified need remains, we securely destroy paper records and delete electronic records. You may request deletion at any time as explained below.

Health information and consent: Agreeing to therapy or accepting these terms is not blanket consent to every use of your personal or health information. Where explicit consent is required for a particular use, we will seek it separately. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it and we will explain any effect on the service. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful or automatically require deletion of information that must lawfully be retained. The confidentiality and safeguarding limits above continue to apply.

Privacy questions and requests: For questions about therapy information, or requests concerning access, correction, deletion or restriction of its use, contact Chiang Mai Wellness Centre Limited Partnership at [email protected] or the registered address in section 1. Requests are handled subject to the rights and exceptions under applicable law. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data-protection authority; contacting us first does not remove that right.

Requesting destruction of records: You may contact Nicholas at [email protected] or our privacy contact at [email protected] at any time to request the secure destruction of paper records or deletion of electronic records relating to you. We will assess and respond to your request under applicable data-protection law. Where deletion is required, we will arrange it securely. This is not an unconditional right to immediate destruction of every record: we may need to retain limited information where there is a lawful reason, such as a legal retention duty or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. If any information must be retained, we will explain the reason and the applicable retention period or criteria, subject to any lawful restriction on disclosure. Retention must remain necessary and justified; a request does not authorise indefinite retention.

Website privacy: The website's Privacy Policy explains general website privacy matters. It complements this section; it does not replace the therapy-specific information here or turn agreement to therapy into consent to unrelated data use.

Session recordings: Sessions are not normally recorded. A session may be recorded only at your request and by separate agreement before recording begins, with the appropriate privacy information and safeguards. Please discuss any recording or accessibility request with Nicholas in advance. When a recording is made for you, it is stored in Dropbox and provided to you through a Dropbox link so that you can download it. Please keep the link and downloaded recording private. The retention and deletion arrangements in this section apply to recordings we hold; deleting our copy does not remove a copy you have already downloaded.

We do not use AI transcription or AI note-taking during therapy sessions. Nothing here prevents a lawful complaint or disclosure to a regulator, adviser or court.

Marketing emails are optional and separate from therapy, booking communications and necessary care-related contact. The Cookie Policy explains website cookies; accepting these terms is not consent to optional cookies.

10. Contact between sessions and urgent help

Questions can be directed to Nicholas Harris at [email protected]. Once a therapeutic relationship has been established, Nicholas will also share his personal WhatsApp contact details with the client.

Therapeutic support is normally provided within booked sessions. Nicholas may offer additional support between sessions at his discretion and subject to his availability. The scope of any additional support and any fee must be agreed with you before that support begins.

There is no guaranteed response time for ordinary between-session messages. Sharing WhatsApp details does not include an entitlement to ongoing messaging support, additional therapy or immediate availability, and messages are not continuously monitored. Any separately agreed additional support does not make this an emergency or on-call service.

Any agreed messaging boundaries remain subject to professional and safeguarding duties. These arrangements do not remove any applicable legal deadline for responding to a formal complaint or a data-protection request.

This is not a 24-hour or emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services where you are. Do not wait for an email or message response from us. Where relevant, we will discuss an appropriate support or safety plan; sessions do not replace urgent care.

11. Ending or pausing therapy

You may end therapy or ask to pause it. Where possible, we can discuss a planned ending, progress and further support. You are not obliged to continue therapy against your wishes.

We may need to pause or end work if the service is no longer suitable, safe or within our competence, or if another substantial issue prevents us from providing it. We will explain the reason, give reasonable notice where possible and consider appropriate continuity or referral arrangements. An immediate safety concern may require a faster response.

Any outstanding payment for services already provided or a properly applicable cancellation or missed-appointment charge remains subject to these terms and your legal rights. Raising a complaint, declining a technique or exercising a legal right is not, by itself, grounds for punitive termination.

12. Concerns and complaints

Please contact Nicholas Harris directly at [email protected] with any concerns, including concerns about a session, payment or professional conduct. Legal notices, compliance matters and privacy concerns should be directed to [email protected]. You can complain without having to continue therapy.

We will consider complaints fairly. Nothing in these terms prevents you from obtaining advice, making a lawful report, posting an honest review or exercising your legal rights. We do not require you to withdraw a complaint or keep it confidential in order to obtain a remedy to which you are legally entitled.

13. Responsibility, applicable law and changes

We are responsible for providing the agreed services with reasonable care and skill. Your responsibilities include following relevant safety arrangements and communicating material concerns as you reasonably can. They do not transfer responsibility for our negligence to you.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. This includes applicable protections concerning psychological injury. We do not require a blanket "use at your own risk" waiver.

Governing law: These terms and your contract for therapy sessions with Chiang Mai Wellness Centre Limited Partnership, whether provided in person or online, are governed by the laws of Thailand.

This choice of law does not remove any mandatory consumer protections or other rights that apply to you and cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement. Nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

We may revise these terms for future bookings. We will not use a website update to retrospectively reduce rights under an existing booking. Material changes to an ongoing arrangement will be explained and agreed where required.
