"I met Nick during a period in my life when I was doing some voluntary work at an holistic centre in Amsterdam. In fact I was lucky enough to join one of his 'stress management' weekend workshops.
This was my first ever experience of any form of hypnosis.
I have suffered severe depression on and off for around 20 years. I turned 37 this year and after various attempts at beating my depression, including 3 courses of anti-depressants such as Prozac and regular visits to a psychiatrist I was convinced that depression was just a "part of me".
After all, when your own pyschiatrist tells you that some people have diabetes and have to take insulin regularly, and others have depression, then what hope does that give you? Things would be ok for a while and then like a black cloud, the depression would just re-appear and crept up on me without warning!
I was very sceptical about any type of therapy or help that I came across, because nothing had really worked up til now! I didn't know what to expect from Nicks course, but by the end of the 1st day I couldn't wait to return to the 2nd day.
I had experienced a deep relaxation for the first time and found myself eager to have a private session of hypnotherapy with Nick. After my 1st session, I was so amazed by the immediate change in my way of thinking and being that I enquired about following the same course that Nick did at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis.
After my third and final session with Nick, I registered on the certificate of clinical hypnosis course and have since registered on a second course so that I can become a qualified hypnotherapist also.
A part of being depressed means struggling to find an interest in life, let alone have any sort of ambition. I am now back on track and not only eager to learn again, but looking forward to being able to help others.
I am sincerely grateful that Nick gave me the opportunity to live a balanced life again. - Julie, England
